Teacher Training

About Us

DEEP is a collaborative partnership that involves 10 local primary schools in Dunmow and the surrounding areas.

All of the schools in DEEP share common values and are committed to providing support and challenge to each other to achieve their ambition of all schools improving. This programme provides a platform where we can train and retain staff in Dunmow, developing excellent practitioners for our community.

The Course

Professional Career
We offer Primary School Direct placements to graduates, or those who are looking for a change of career.

Training
This path into teaching is a great way to gain the qualifications and practical skills you need to become a teacher.

This course will be based in one school for the majority of the year with a short second placement in a contrast school setting. Part of the course is theory based and there will be formal training days held mainly at one of our partner schools. Successful trainees will be awarded Qualified Teacher Status.

Commitment
The training programme requires a commitment of 5 days a week for the length of the course. Trainees are expected to participate fully in the everyday life of the schools in which they train.
